Tree Book

… is undoubtedly the most significant, useful and practical book ever to be published on this subject in South Africa. It is based on a highly successful series that ran in Farmer’s Weekly magazine and was prompted by requests from hundreds of readers for the information in book form.

This book is the first national checklist of the trees of Botswana. It is divided into two sections: the first part provides descriptions of some common trees and shrubs of Botswana, and the second is the complete checklist. The list contains more than 440 species, arranged alphabetically by family and genus. Each listing includes information on common names and voucher specimens, a distribution map, and a line drawing of the leaf to aid identification. A detailed index includes scientific names, synonyms, and common names.
